It is a sure sign that something is amiss when a group accused of being a terrorist organization – which incidentally just cleared its name in British courts, and expects to have the same results in the United States, is in turn accused by the government of Iran of being a terrorist group. I refer of course to the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq, or the Peoples Mujahedin, the Iranian resistance group opposed to the rule of the mullahs.

Shortly after ousting Tehrans Chief nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, and appointing one of his own cronies, a former Revolutionary Guards Commander, Saeed Jalili, to the post, the Iranian regimes President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, told the state-run news agency ISNA that the regimes nuclear case was "closed" and that U.N. sanction resolutions were "just a pile of papers." He raised the stakes even further by announcing on Wednesday that Tehran had succeeded in manufacturing 3,000 centrifuges, which would enable it, according to some experts, to make a bomb within a year.
