GAZA CITY, Gaza -- In an unusual display of frustration, moderate Hamas official Ahmed Yousef, the adviser on foreign affairs to de-facto Gaza prime minister and Hamas leader Ismail Haniya, has told the Middle East Times that Hamas patience with Israel is wearing thin.

AMMAN -- Palestinian and Arab hopes were dashed by a speech that U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama gave to a pro-Israeli lobby, in which he promised his full support to Israel and went further by adopting Israeli policy that sees Jerusalem as the "undivided capital" of the Jewish state.

RAMALLAH, West Bank - The on-off, unofficial-official, short-term truce between Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Israel was officially broken on Wednesday when Israeli special forces killed five members of Islamic Jihad in the West Bank cities of Bethlehem and Tulkarem. Israel accused some of them of having played a part on organizing the attack on a Jerusalem yeshiva last week which left eight students dead.

GAZA CITY, Gaza - Fourteen masked gunmen burst into Gaza Citys YMCA library last week, overpowered two guards and laid explosive charges. One of the bombs later exploded, engulfing the building in fire, destroying most of the librarys 10,000 books, which were used mostly by high-school and university students.

Convicted Al Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui, who has been sentenced to life in prison, was brought to a supermaximum-security federal prison in the US state of Colorado early on Saturday, the US Marshals Service announced.
