In 1974 Ahmed Ali was also wounded in an Israeli air strike that killed two of his friends. Tens of thousands of foreign nations have fled Lebanon over the past two weeks to escape the bombing throughout the country. As the conflict rages in south Lebanon hundreds of thousands of Lebanese continue to flee the fighting. Over 400 Lebanese, mostly civilians, have died since the conflict began on Wednesday 12 July, after Hezbollah guerrilla’s kidnapped two Israeli soldiers and killed 7 others.
