Khodro Director for Middle East Exports Javad Taleb said the first supplies would be transported to Iraq by the end of the week, the Iranian Press TV reported.
"Some 4,000 Iranian-made Samand EL and Peugeot Roa will be exported to Iraq to renovate the country's public transportation fleet," he said.
Taleb said 240 vehicles would ship to Iraq this week with an additional schedule slated for 60 vehicles per day.
Press TV said Iran Khodro is the largest automobile factory in the Middle East with production approaching 3 million units during the past six years.
